The adidas F50 Hyperfast EVO is one of those releases where the headline number genuinely matters: approximately 130 grams. Created as the hero of the 2026 “Too Light” Pack, it pushes the F50 franchise back toward the obsession that made the name famous in the first place—removing weight in pursuit of speed.
F50 returns to its lightweight roots
The F50 has spent more than two decades associated with fast, lightweight football. The Hyperfast EVO takes that heritage to an extreme, recalling the spirit of adidas’ earlier Crazylight experiments and the famous 99g concept era. For the 2026 World Cup, adidas positioned the EVO as its lightest boot set to appear at the tournament.
How adidas gets the weight down to 130g
The F50 Shell EVO mesh upper removes unnecessary material while retaining essential structure. Underfoot, a refined SPEEDSYSTEM plate uses a stiff internal core to stabilize explosive movements, while bladed studs are arranged for acceleration and rapid direction changes. An adaptive TPU structure called F50 Cage+ adds support across the upper and midsole without the bulk of a more traditional reinforcement system.
A lightweight floating tongue helps secure the foot and limit heel movement. Even visually the construction communicates the idea: the yellow-and-orange upper can appear almost translucent under certain light, with large F50 branding and sweeping Three Stripes emphasizing the boot’s stripped-back shape.
Too Light also includes more familiar F50 options
Not every player wants the absolute minimum-weight setup. The wider Too Light Pack includes the F50 Hyperfast Elite Laceless and standard Elite, giving players more conventional performance options while retaining the same speed family. Those versions weigh more than the 130g EVO but can carry additional features for control and fit.
The Hyperfast EVO is therefore more than a limited colorway. It is a technical statement about what the F50 name still represents in 2026: an adidas speed silo willing to remove almost everything that does not directly serve acceleration, support or responsiveness.
